An e-book anthology for students

Coming soon Youth voices imagining drones for nature

Voices from the Sky is a youth e-book of short, hopeful stories about how drones and data can help protect wildlife, forests, rivers, and coastlines. Written by young people and illustrated for easy classroom sharing, it sparks creativity, ethics, and practical thinking around technology for good.

What will be inside

  • 20 bite-size stories from youth across Africa and beyond
  • Themes: wildlife monitoring, reforestation, marine habitats, disaster response, community science
  • Discussion prompts and activity ideas for teachers & clubs
  • Family-friendly. No jargon. Big imagination.

For educators
Use the book to start a 30–45 minute classroom session: read one story, discuss the problem, sketch a drone/data solution, and reflect on ethics, safety, and impact. Great for STEM, geography, ICT, and environmental clubs.

How to contribute
We welcome short stories (150–500 words), poems, or comics from ages 8–18. No fees to submit. Selected pieces will be included in the next edition with full credit.
